The layer farm is situated in Morrumbene, province of Inhambane which is 500 kms north of Maputo. The farm has capacity for 65 000 layers, 45 000 in fully environmentally controlled houses and 20 000 in semi-automated housing. Work opportunities are given to those in the area which has built significant goodwill in and around Inhambane.

Eggs are sold exclusively through company owned outlets which allows us to control the distribution chain. 

We produce high quality feed at our own facility which ensures egg quality is of a high standard.

Eggs are sold to a range of customers but the price is the same whether you purchase one or one hundred boxes of eggs. This pricing strategy has been successful. We sell to individuals for home consumption, small street sellers who boil and add a markup, small shops and large wholesalers. All pay the same price.

The majority of eggs are sold in close proximity to the farm but when we see a soft local market, we can distribute south towards Maputo.

The feed Mill is located in Maputo. High quality feed is produced and sold through company owned depots, to agents and transferred to the layer operation in Morrumbene.

The Hatchery is located South of Maputo in Boane. Day Old Chicks are distributed through company owned depots, to agents and also to large contract growers. The majority of small scale farmers that purchase from the company are women.

.The company currently has 18 depots from which product is sold and distributed. These depots are located as far South as Boane and as far North as Massinga. We have a fleet of vehicles that distribute product to the depots and agents.
